This is our beloved Yonk as we call him.  We purchased him and his half sister when they were only weanlings and they have been raised here on Wolfe Mountain.  We bought them after discovering this breed is the most smooth gaited horse on earth and used by many people who can ride nothing else due to back injuries.  Now that we no longer trail ride but have switched to drafts, it's time for Yonk to go where he can be used for his intended purpose.  Yonk is my personal favorite horse and has the sweetest disposition of any horse I have ever seen.  You can't help but fall in love with his personality.  He'll only go to an approved home as I don't have to sell him.  But, to the right person, he can go home for $1,000.

Algarrobina De Nirvana Foaled Feb 6, 2003

This is our lovely Ali as we call her.  She & Yonk are out of JAO Senador II from South America and Ali's mother was a celebrated multi show winner that later sold for $20,000.  Ali was trained by the head Peruvian trainer at Hacienda Nirvana in Wetumpka, Alabama and is the most responsive horse I've ever rode.  Ali has one of the best reaches her trainer has ever seen and her talents are being wasted here on Wolfe Mountain.  Ali needs to be shown and then retired as a brood mare to pass on her tremendous reach.  We don't have the time or the health to do that but she's too good to be a pasture ornament.  To the right person, Ali can be purchased now for $2,000.    

HOOP HOUSE:

This little hoop house has revolutionized the way we do poultry here on Wolfe Mountain.  We are located near the national forest and have every kind of predator imaginable.  I had given up on keeping birds on a year round basis because they were always lost to predators and I refuse to keep them in a dirt "chicken" yard as some do.  With this hoop house, they are safe from all predators, have fresh grass available daily, and I can actually walk in among them to care for them.  We have several so we can keep each flock pure and to its self while running them side by side down the pasture.  These houses work great for all kind of birds or small animals.   

The dimensions are 8 feet by 8 feet and just under 6 foot high in the middle.  It is constructed completely from treated wood and galvanized metal so there is no rot or rusting.  The whole thing is covered in 1x2 inch welded wire to keep in the smallest chick while adding strength to the structure.  Roosts are provided and nest boxes can be attached to the A frame in the back.  A small tarp (not included) keeps them in the shade and out of the rain in the summer and an all over tarp keeps out the wind and cold in the winter.  Ropes are added to the front and back to aid in sliding the house each day or can easily be moved with a 4 wheeler.  Delivery is available.  Order your hoop house now for $600.  Orders can take up to 6 weeks to fill.
